Heavy restraint systems for defence and special-purpose transport
Moving an armoured vehicle or a piece of defence plant is a heavy, high-value, low-margin-for-error job. We build the high-capacity ratchet and chain restraint systems used on lowbed and step-deck transport, with the documentation a buyer or a QA department expects.
The four problems we are asked to solve
Every industry has its own way of losing a load. These are the ones our customers raise most often — and what we do about them.
Shortfall on load rating
Tracked and armoured vehicles present one of the hardest restraint cases — high mass, high centre of gravity, no soft anchor points. We supply 50 mm heavy-duty ratchet assemblies and grade 70 chain binders rated for the job.
Abrasion and cut-through on tracks
Steel tracks will chew through webbing in a few hundred kilometres. Edge protectors, wear sleeves and a chain-based restraint arrangement for the contact points solve it.
Specification and traceability
Defence and government transport programmes need the rating, the material and the test record on paper. Every assembly is supplied with its working load limit marked and traceable to a batch.
Non-standard vehicles and fixtures
Custom brackets, tie-down rings, D-rings and mounting hardware are made to drawing, so the restraint system fits the vehicle you actually operate.
Product families for military & special equipment
These are the ranges this work usually draws on. Each one is made in our own factory, and every item can be built to your own specification.
Chain
Load binder chain assemblies, grade 70 transport chain and chain shortening components.

What these products are made to
Standards are how a buyer checks a claim without visiting the factory. The marking on the product, the test record in our files and the standard in the table beside this are the same three things.
- Capacity and standard marked on every item
- Batch number traceable to the pull-test record
- Declaration of conformity supplied on request
- Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Intertek) welcome

Military & Special Equipment — FAQ
Can you build to our drawing?+
Yes. Custom assemblies, lengths, end fittings and mounting hardware are our normal business. Send a drawing or a sample and we will return a quotation with a first-article sample.
How is the working load limit marked?+
Each assembly carries a permanently attached label with the working load limit and the batch number, so the item can be traced to its production run and pull-test record.
Do you sign an NDA?+
Yes. Drawings, samples and specifications shared for a quotation are kept confidential and we are happy to work under a mutual non-disclosure agreement.

Logistics & Flatbed Transport
A load that shifts in transit turns into a claim, a roadside fine or a lost customer.

Wind Energy & Oversize Cargo
Blades, tower sections and nacelles are expensive, awkward and unforgiving.

Power & Heavy Industry
A hydro runner, a turbine housing or a large casting is already a finished, machined, coated item by the time it is lifted.
Solutions & products →Send us the load, not a product code
Tell us what you are securing or lifting, the anchor points you have and the standard you must meet. We will come back with the product, the working load limit and a price.
