Deck lashing and hardware that survives salt water

Cargo on a deck is wet, moving and under constant load for weeks. Salt spray attacks anything that is not stainless, and UV degrades anything that is not made for it. We supply the fittings, straps and kits that hold up on a commercial deck and on a yacht on a road trailer.

What goes wrong

The four problems we are asked to solve

Every industry has its own way of losing a load. These are the ones our customers raise most often — and what we do about them.

01

Corrosion, not strength, is what fails first

A galvanised hook that rusts solid is useless even though it never broke. Marine fittings are supplied in stainless steel where the application needs it.

02

Cradles and trailers that need custom restraint

A yacht on a road trailer or a boat in a cradle needs restraint in several directions with soft contact points. We build the over-the-top and cross straps, with padding.

03

UV and constant tension

Sun and sustained load both degrade webbing. For permanent deck applications we advise on the webbing type, the protection and the re-tensioning interval.

04

Dockside and yard handling

Slings and straps used around a dockyard take abrasion from concrete, steel and salt. Replaceable wear sleeves keep the sling working.

Standards

What these products are made to

Standards are how a buyer checks a claim without visiting the factory. The marking on the product, the test record in our files and the standard in the table beside this are the same three things.

  • Capacity and standard marked on every item
  • Batch number traceable to the pull-test record
  • Declaration of conformity supplied on request
  • Third-party inspection (SGS, BV, Intertek) welcome

Questions we are asked

Marine & Yacht Transport — FAQ

Is your marine hardware stainless or galvanised?+

Both are available. Tell us the environment — fresh water, salt water, permanent or intermittent exposure — and we will specify the finish that lasts.

Do you supply complete boat tie-down kits?+

Yes. Over-the-hull straps, trailer winch straps, ratchet assemblies and padded contact pieces can be supplied as a kit for your boat size.

Can you make straps with stainless hooks?+

Yes. Stainless snap hooks, D-rings and cam buckles are all available on made-to-order assemblies.

Send us the load, not a product code

Tell us what you are securing or lifting, the anchor points you have and the standard you must meet. We will come back with the product, the working load limit and a price.
